The large rubber roller on most antique machines can be rock hard, It is advised to have the platen resurfaced if the machine will be used frequently. This greatly enhances the quality of the type, and reduces wear on the typeslugs.
1976 Hermes Baby in good condition. It is cleaned and adjusted, has new feet and a fresh ribbon.
Due to the new and grippy feet, the machine will not scratch your typing surface, and will stay put while typing.
The machine has a German QWERTZ layout.
The platen is very hard and should be replaced if the machine is intended for daily use.
