The large rubber roller on most antique machines can be rock hard, It is advised to have the platen resurfaced if the machine will be used frequently. This greatly enhances the quality of the type, and reduces wear on the typeslugs.
This Groma is in quitegood condition, but will need to be serviced to work properly. Also it has a broken paper support for which I sadly don't have a replacement.
