Typewriter Ribbon Spool Winder / Bulk Ribbon Winder
With this typewriter ribbon winder, you can easily respool any type of spool onto another! This winder comes in handy, especially if you order ribbon on bulk reels.
The idle spool holder can slide up and down the shaft to accommodate larger or smaller spools (after loosening the 4 screws). The ideal distance from the winding frame is about 4.5cm. The winder can handle up to 35cm bulk reels this way
All the hardware and parts needed to assemble the winder are included except for the large discs for bulk reels. Those can very easily be made from some sturdy cardboard or thin wooden planks.
The winder works with a wide variety of spools. As can be seen in the last photo. Also included is an adapter to fit most, if not all bulk spools.
Note that there is a hole in the plastic insert of the table clamp, and a flat spot files on the main shaft. This is done so that the shaft is not able to rotate when clamped.
